Need help with good latch ASAP


This fucking potential buyer came by and without saying anything yanked my hood latch and pull Ed the fucking piece out like shone in picture and the hod won't properly close now help

i figured a way to get it to work, i found a piece of plastic on the floorboard assuming that is what locks it in place, its farther out then it should be but it works now, but it seems POS like, typical fucking bullshit

No problem man, mine broke too (handle came off completely). To open it i gota use some pliers to pull on the cable.

As far as replacing it i cant really say...looks pretty straight forward however

The cable probably runs through the left fender well and removal of the inner fender is probably necessary. Shouldn't be too hard.

I went through the Ford shop manual last night pretty carefully and can't find any procedure for replacing the cable. You will have to take a look at it and figure it out for yourself.

had a guy do the same on my Jeep when I was trying to sell it to get the Mustang. Wanted to see the engine and pulled so hard it busted the handle right off...

Seems like a good time for hood pins, lol
