Fun Opinion Thread

I have the luck of having another baby on the way and was forced to buy a "family car". I picked up a nice 2008 Pontiac G6 gt for the kiddos. I now have a 2002 V6 mustang that looks good but doesn't run top notch. It has a hesitation problem that I am getting tired of trying to track down. It runs just fine for a spare car and I would even take it across country but as far as modding it for performance any further it is a moot effort unless I find and fix that hesitation problem.

So lets have some fun and toss around some ideas as what to do with it. Selling is out of the question. Keep in mind I have some disposable income with decent yearly bonuses so I have somewhat of a budget for mods.

My idea is to strip it, paint it flat black, and slowly but surely drop in a 4.6 from a sn95 gt and just build a beast. No creature comforts...pure rawness

I think that would be fun as hell. You don't need it to be a daily driver or anything like that. Just make sure you ask your lady if she's OK with it before you sink that much money into it.
Paint it flat black, with black ghost stripes ( or black with flat black ghost stripes)

I have another thread below this one about the hesitation problem.

I have replaced the fuel filter, egr valve, plugs and wires about 50k ago, DPFE sensor.

If you're swapping in a V8 get a 4V. That's what I'd do if I was doing a swap, but that's going to be a lot more work and cash than finding your hesitation problem and fixing it. (Then you could go FI if you wanted to) Both ideas have prose and cons that can go on for pages here, and there's a million threads about them already so you'll have no problem reading up on them if you decide to do it.

also try the coil pack. that is a common problem among these cars.
