265s ok on 17x9?

I currently have 275s, but I am considering buying a set for 265s. Will I notice anything at all?

Also... how are the Michelin Pilot Sport ps2 tires? Compared to like the Nitto NT555?

Why are u going narrower? IMO 275s fit perfect on 17x9. Too skinny, and it looks like u cheaped out.

Because there is someone on here with a good deal on some 265/40/17 tires. Surely the difference between 265 and 275 is marginal at best. Not that big of a size difference I would imagine.

10 mm. A little less than 1/2 inch. Probably wont be too noticeable.

Ya... so no change really at all. Now, for the other question... The Michellen PS2s... good bad?

Every review seems to claim they are amazing. Even found where a Z06 owner used them and said they were the best tires ever.

I was going to just get one new Nitto NT555 since I have a fairly new one on one side, but for like $50 more I can get two PS2s. Then sell the NT555 for some recoup...

I've never owned a set of Michelins'. I'm doing some tire shopping as well and it sucks reading reviews.

The PS2s are 0.32" narrower then the NT555s, I always just check the manufacturer dimensional specs as advertised size can often vary greatly from measured size. A good example is when I went from 195s to 205s on one of my cars, the 205s had a 1.4" wider tread which is a much larger difference then the advertised tire size implied.

I used to run 245s on my 18x9s (front wheels) and you can probably run as big as 285 or so without any big issues. So 265s will work fine if you found a good deal on them.
