I get around 22 mpg city and highway. That is the best. I once got 300 miles out of a tank, but I drove like grandma admiring the scenery.

does using cruise control give less gas mileage?
maybe sounds like a dumb question but i was thinking that maybe because the computer needs to kinda work harder to maintain the car's speed on its own, it also requires more gas....i dont know... |

no, just set your gas pedal...
if it does its maybe 1/3 of a mile per gal

cruise actually is better on gas. When you "feather" the throttle to maintain a constant speed, your increasing rpms and demanding more gas. The computer can do it better than you. If you engange the cruise whenever you can, you'll see your mpg go up.
Also, just for shits and giggles, never fill up your tank all the way if your trying to get the best mileage out of your car. You need to keep it as light as possible and every little bit will help. The new mythbusters said that you can almost double your gas mileage by "drafting" semi's on the highway. Being as far as 100 feet away will still have a pretty dramatic effect on mileage! Pretty cool I think. I know this is true because I drive a ton of miles and have done the math.

My '98 runs 19-20 MPG all city driving. Went up noticeably from the CAI, seems to have gone down a bit from the dual exhaust. Couldn't really tell you why... I think it varies from car-to-car. From what I've read, the only real guaranteed increase in MPG seems to come from a good tune.

Worst = 22mpg (all city)
Best = 33mpg (all highway trip) Average between 360-410 gallons between fill ups (12.5-14.0 gallons)
