long tube / shorty


whats the difference besides long tube better sound? because i already have shorty headers and im gonna put them on either way with my new exhaust i just want to know if its gonna do anything.

Shorties give you almost 0 gain

LT's give some good gains, and a better sound

long tubes help the flow of the gases calm down before dumping them in with the rest of the gases... where as shorties don't have that much room...

equal lenght shorties give the gases a smoother flow and will alow for better acceleration

Yeah shorties aren't gonna add much if anything...look for like 3 rwhp

i already have an h-pipe and i want to get LT headers. what will have to be done. do i just have to make the headers meet the exhaust and weld them on and i also want to take out my cats
