Oh noes

My car is having problems... im so upset..

I took it to a shop today. But I have no idea whats wrong with it. My boyfriend was driving it. He said he had to stop because it felt like my hand brake was up. After he stoped, smoke was comming from both back tires.
I'll try and keep an update on here.
Any ideas what could be wrong!?? ahh

yes of you do not use your ebreak for a long period of time and then pull it up it can seize in the activated position even thought u return the lever to the off position. i have a feeling thats what happened. very common in auto cars because the parking break is very rarely used.

on the subject of brakes, my bake ligh on my guage cluster is on... no idea why.. there are no brakes engaged when its on... and sometimes it goes off... the comes back on... so weird... not intending to thread hijack

but to me your problems sounds like what Jugg said. Let us know when the problem is found and when it gets fixed!

nice answer juggalo.

your only going to find out when you pull the thing apart and find out whats going on. i wouldn't think it siezed and no offence to your BF.... he may have just decided to pull it up for some "fun"

when it comes to cars, no one admits they did it =D

could also be air in the lines and/or low on fluid.

3.8 put some more fluid in the resivour and see if that turns it off... also be careful not to upset the fluid and get air into the lines... might happen if you like... drive over a bumpy road while filling the master cylinder... just throwin out possibilities

Car back

yayy! I got my car back... with good news and bad news

the bad news was : they couldn't find anything wrong with my car
they seem to think it was just a fluke. its been really hot and i was driving alot that day - so, they think my back brakes juss stuck. the man who fixed the car has one other ford do it but it never happened again

the good news is: i wasn't charged anything and hopefully it won't do it again..

BTW he checked the hand brake... and there was no sign it was up

i told him so

not that this post really helps anything but i said id keep you posted
thanks for the insight guys
