Need to HANDLE HP


Hello i have an 07 v6 and sometime i want to be putting in a turbo or something to get alot more HP. about 450 0r 500

What will i have to do, and change out in my car to handle the HP and what will be the price of all of it?

What do you mean use the search?

Also i know ill need more then just forged internals right... like an 8.8 rear, and t-loc....

uhh pretty good list... thats pretty much it their are minor things such as improved fuel system... better exhaust new intake ... also port and polish will help a ton too

yea that list is still a little short, theres some other things that need to be done , i havent done my turbo setup yet, so cant tell ya exactly what, plus its like 1am so my brain isnt all there

Well if you're gonna have that much power your t-lok is gonna bust....i wouldnt push it past 300hp. You should upgrade to a detroit trutrac or an Eaton locker.

first ask yourself if you want a mustang or you want 450-500 hp. If you want the latter, sell your stang and save the money you would have spent on internals. buy an older M3 and a TT kit.
but thats my opinion

You wont need a new tranny unless your going over 450, and even then, if your automatic (its the same tranny as a GT) You can handle 500, not much more though. If your a manual, youd need a new clutch.

People have 400hp on stock bottom ends on these s197 v6s, and still running strong. (And yes, a trak-lok has only broken on 1 s197 that I know of pushing over 400hp, so it can handle 300 just fine.)

These are very impressive 6ers.
