Chip or tuning to fix shift lag and save on gas

I know that this can be done using an SCT tuner, but is there a cheaper way to reduce the shift lag on the Mustang and maybe also save few bucks on gas?

i wouldnt go wiht the xcal i would go with the sniper...it is a better buy and you get a 15% discount because of juggalo...read his sig and you can learn more...but with the sniper you can make your own tunes instead of having to pay someone to make a tune and then put it on your xcal

well you have a program that you do tunes on and when you do your tune you flash it to your interface and then you flash it to your car...but you can go straight from the computer to the car but you would have to have a laptop...but just read juggalos sig...and youll get what its all about

its close to 500 base price...but juggalo got mm members a 15% discount which drops it to 429...then with shipping it totals to 459...but it is way better than the xcal because of the fact you can make your own tunes

If you don't know what you're doing...DO NOT....I REPEAT DO NOT write your own tune. You will do more harm then good.

I brought my laptop to my car when doing it...the new computers for the 05+'s write EXTREMELY fast.

On a side note: it'd be a good idea to save the stock tune before writing a new one...that way if you have any troubles, you can put the stock tune back on...thus not voiding your warranty.

replacing parts technically doesn't void your warranty. but if ford determines that the installed part caused whatever issue(s) you're having...then yes it voids your warranty

I would just rather have someone dump a tune to my car instead of buying the whole thing. Is that a decent idea?

buy the tuner its very useful get the sniper.....

as u get mods u register em on ur sniper when making tunes and ur car will run better tuned for the mods than a car that is not tuned 4 the mods....

reads jugg's sig making tunes is not hard the only thing u cant touch would be sparks timings etc....... if u get one READ the manual

(i dont own a tuner but i have help my friends on his sniper i love the software cause its easy to use)
