Vibration at low RPMS..... hmm

Ok here's the scenario ladies....

04 V6 auto, when i'm driving and cruising speeds (45+) i have no problems, runs like a champ (minus the steering rack bushing's being destroyed, warranty repair replacing the whole rack... )

when i am at lower speeds (30 or below) and just cruising, like in my neighborhood or back roads... there is a vibration that feels like it's coming from the rear... it only happens at the lower speeds or lower RPMS and in the lower gears.... if i'm in 4th or 3rd at low RPMS no problem, mainly its when i'm in second..... don't know if that makes sense it's kinda the best i can explain it...

i just recently had the tranny flushed by my local shop and it did improve but is definitly still there....

know problems in the rear are a blown driver's side rear shock (tokiko's on the way!) besides that no issues....

thoughts?

have your rear end checked u could have a bearing gone, in turn that will chew ur rear end up. or you could have a bad u-joint.

If it's only in lower rpm's then it could be gear rollover. but if it didn't happen before...then this is an unlikely problem. Have your tires balanced and go from there

didn't happen before??

it's happened since i've owned the car (3 whole weeks)

to me honestly it feels like the carwants to shift but doesn't want to shift, it's strange...

i'm no good at diagnosing autos... i'll get a balance and rotate when i get the rack work done.

OH lol u got a rack problem y didnt u say so, thats most likely the issue. and they will give u an alignment when u get the rack fixed but be sure to get a tire balance just in case if all that and its still there ur rear end probably has a sloppy bearing and its causeing the backlash to be off by a bit.

i thought it may be an alignment problem as well, i figured they would do that with the rack, if i still have the problem then i'll start exploring other options....
