if you have plans for a turbo or supercharger, you should switch to an 8.8

VMPTuning is pushing 400 rwhp to an entirely stock car except for the twin turbos without any issues.

I asked my mechanic and he said the 7.5 rear end isn't as weak as i told him most of you all are saying. He said with a good traction lock it could easily do 400HP i tend to trust him seeing as he is the Ford dealerships tranny and rear end guy.

yeah most people don;t say go over 300 hp but thats justa rough estimate cause under hard launches with 300 horse you should be fine for wear and tear where as if you increase it ( horse power) you decrease the life of the rear end since now it's taking on more force and will degrade quicker. easily put it was meant to last for a long time at 160 something rwhp.. take out the safety factor you can push w/e you want but it's gona break sooner thats all. 400 sound about right though in engineering terms we usually double or triple stuff

i think you can reach about 400rwhp easy on the stock 7.5" axle as long as you dont use sticky tires. f-bodies(firebirds and camaros) have a stock 7.5" axle and theyre good til about 400rwhp in an automatic trans. however in a manual, they can break at about 300rwhp depending on how hard your launching

the only thing bad is that the biggest axles that'll fit is the 28spline...

oh good luck selling used pulleys for $220...for $20 you can get em new at vmp
the 4.10s i can find for $150-200 brand new
o/r h pipe-$160 brand new
cats....who the hell wants to buy cats

no offense but thats a rip off
consider this
i just bought 42lb injectors never touch new in a box...cheapest i've found were $300 not shipped
i paid $180 shipped!
you needd to lower your prices

The weak point in the 7.5 are the spider gears in the open and tlok differential. They can grenade at any time. You can get hardened 28 spline axles.
