removing center console

How the hell do you get the center console out? The emergency. Brake keeps getting in my way so I cant push pull or lift it out. All the screws ate out and the plugs are undone...

When we took the one out in my 98, we have to cut the rivet out so we could get it around the e brake, hope this helps you!

I don't think there's an easy way to do it. I did it once in a 2000 V6. You just have to push/pull/wiggle as much as you can until you clear the e-brake. It's a headache, but it is possible.

If not, you can disconnect the E-brake cable that goes into the caliper on the back wheels. Then you can clear it no problem.

Pull the e brake all the way up and it will come out easy.

Got it out about an hour ago. I was swapping my seats anyway so I took both out and turned the shifter end towards the drivers side... then it came right out.

It's not really hard, just pull the ebrake up, get the few screws/tabs out (Under the lift up thing too) and wiggle it out.
