My stang

Bought a 1999 v6 about a year ago, still runs alright, but don't want to put any money into it for modding.

I was thinking about buying a 2004 Mach 1. I want to make sure I buy a car that has a nice aftermarket for upgrading and modding. Im going to be saving up a bunch of money to buy this car, but want to make sure it has a nice aftermarket. Is there any other mustang (new edge, 99-04 perferably) that would have a better aftermarket?

A Mach1 is a great starting point, the 4v engine responds great to just about any aftermarket parts available. It's got as much or more potential over any other Mustang other than the '03 - '04 Cobra.

they all have a huge aftermarket to them. yo cant go wong with any of them. the mach is a great car!!!

I like my Mach1 and my V6 stang. By the way the V6 stang responded well to modding.................

yea the 2004 Mach 1 just looks so hot lol (especially the blue one). Anyone know the top speed they have gotten to on a Mach 1?

I know the limiter stops it at 155 or so, but some people were talking about taking the limiter out.. what would that do? (and how dangerous is it.. lol)

im sure they would go 165-170 as for the stock wheels on the machs, i think they are ugly but if your wanting a flat out haul ass ride, go for the 03-04 cobra or the 04 mach with the manuel tranny. the manuel tranny have the forged crank and rods and pstons i belve. anyways good luck!!!!

Don't waste the money on the 6cyl. I have spent a good deal on my 99V6 and can only run with the new edge GT's stock. The only perk to a V6 is they are cheap and insurance is affordable for kids my age. If I could do it all over again and was 25 years old, I would get a cobra- 03/04

What about the 2000 Cobra R?.. is there much difference between the 03/04 cobra and the 2000 Cobra R?

huge difference. you wouldnt want to drive the cobra r on the road for the simple fact its a race car and would ride like shit on the road. the 03-04 cobra is a whole helluva lot more practical and the 03-04 cobras dont cost 60,000 dollars. the 03-04 cobra is the way to go over the cobra r
