so about that Air to Water debate with SSStang
he who says its not good for daily driving and all that non sense...w/e anyways....my buddys cobra made 530rwhp with regular warm coolant when dynoed...he took 20min and some ice from the fridge and drained his coolant and put some cups of ice along with water and 25%coolant then got the rollers going for 600rwhp....though this is just a short term gain until it warms up again but when u go to run at the track or on the street....just before ur ready do that and your good to go....straight rape a bitch lol

Re: so about that Air to Water debate with SSStang
But I will repeat this for you again, Air-to-Water: On The Track > Air-to-Air Air-to-Air: On The Street > Air-to-water Of course any time you can throw ICE & watter wetter, and whatever else into the tank to get cooler intake temperatures your going to see better gains. But once it warms up air-2-air > you. Plus you can't really get an accurate dyno with an air-to-air intercooler since I doubt that any fan can match you doing 55mph on an open road. (maybe a wind tunnel but who has a dyno in a wind tunnel)?

lol u know im right...just think 20min some water and ice and gain that much even if its only a little while...cant do that with a air/air setup...not to mention u can spray on air/air but then again u can spray the air/water setup too and get cooler temps....how about this

Of course air-to-water + ice + everything else is gonna own air-to-air for about .... 5-10min of hard driving?

Track
Air to Water > Air to Air Street Air to Air > Air to Water You need to ahve ice in the resevior to actually get the potential out of a Air to Water...On the street the ice melts really fast...Thus the Air to Air is better... I fht eice did not melt the air to water would rule all...But ice melts so you ahve ups and downs for eash... |

yeah i know it melts...but when ur at the track in between the street cars and drag cars u can throw the ice in and make that extra power...on the street its not so easy as the track...but when people meet up to race...they just make their adjustments on the side before they start...when ur on the highway then spray it lol....u can spray into the water a bit cant u ? saw it i muscle mustang a guy was doign it for his new GT with his air/water setup and made stupid power from it...

- the only problem with this is you have to keep filling the tank up with ice, of course street racing is dumb but when you run up on a procharged vette with an air-to-air i/c at a stop light do you have time to get out and pour ice into your tank? - Nope I mean people put Ice bags on top of their intake pipes all the time. Cooler temps = more gain, BUT a-2-a is your best bet for a daily driver. Plus their Intercooler spray (water/n02/cry-02)

really so what about the people who spray into the water ? Cry SS.....but take a procharged Vette with 550rwhp and a/w cobra with 550 its the same shit....just a drivers race not to mention the vette will weigh less and cuts wind better....but neways u dont realize u can spray the water too...and keep it cold...look at either the last issue of Muscle Mustang or the issue before...and read up on it

And if the cobra is 550hp on a dyno with ice, and the vette is 550hp on a dyno with fans.. who do you think is gonna win? Make them both cobras.

Put it like this. 03 cobra vs 03 cobra One has a/w and one has a/a, (no spray of any kind) On the dyno they both put out 550hp using lets say a vortech mondo blower. One has an air to air setup, and one has an intercooler. The cobra with the air to water dyno'd at 550 using ice in the tank. Who wins at a stop light? ** with drivers being dead even**

i said compare them and the other without ice...my buddys cobra without ice makes 530rwhp without ice....compare that to a car with 530rwhp air to air its no different....now spray methanol or nitrous w/e into the water box as the air/air sprays nitrous onto the front mount...who do u think still has the greater advantage...that water will get real cold real fast

im 2 cars with the same rwhp then take 1 of the two and add ice into the box just before you run and then what happends ? either way on the road if they make the same power without ice the cars are still gona be equal

This goes back to the " stick your hand outside at 5mph, then do it at 20mph, then at 50mph " no fan is ever gonna be able to reproduce that

thats what u think....u dont think u can have a fan that changes with speed ? of course this isnt usually the case with dynos but they do have that out there...what about the days u put ur hand out and the air stil feels hot as hell...like it did the other day here...
