it is your thermostat, the failsafe just make it to where you won't over heat and hurt your engine if it goes out, it still won't properly cool the car and you will get hot, and shift 250 before redline.

failsafe is the best since it won't make u over heat, but if it goes out it has failed and ur car will get hot, put another failsafe in.
