K&N CAI

ok, i have a question

My dad wants me to get a CAI.. but he wants me to get a K&N and hes stuck on it.
My boyfriend thinks that I would be just paying for the name that there are others out there that would improve my car the same without paying the price.

Does anyone know which is better K$N or __ ___?

Frankly i just want this check engine soon light to go off

CAI won't fix the cel, but k&n i overpriced i mean if your dad will fork over the extra cash go for it, but a 30buck one off ebay is the same thing, I have one on my car and i love it.

umm no it won't, whats the code, cause whatever the code says is what is wrong with your car, find a new shop they are stupid. go to autozone have them read them code then they can tell u what is wrong, it is probably a rear o2 sensor code.

yeah, but it's a good quality filter...
with the cheap CAI's from eBay, yeah they work the same and for that there's no difference really, but they give you a cheap ass filter. K&N filters have like mutliple layers with some kind of oil on it to filter the air better, apparently. i'm not thinking it would add more power, but i'm gona get a K&N or BBK filter pretty soon just to have better filtered air going into my engine...makes me feel safer I guess.

k&n is def one of the higher quality cai's and your not really just paying for the name the company does alot of testing on their products and not only do their cai's inhale more oxygen and improve performance.. they are acutally designed to in a sense "straighten out" the air flow into a more smooth stream instead of causing turbulance in the intake tube which leads to inconsistant amounts of oxygen being introduced.. this design key in that most people that spend the amount of money as your will for your k&n cai have the money to buy a nos fogger to mound nicely in it .... and the smooth stream of air being introduced also increases the effenciency of atomization from a fogger system.. blah blah blah.. in short.. your not just paying for the name lol.. ... No, just no..

Your trying to argue that a tube of steel just because it comes in a K&N box is better than the tube of steel that you get from eBay?
