its a oil breather...uses air from the engine instead air from the manifold

it's good for extremely high power motors... and even heard very good to do on older/high mileage motors
what the PCV does is recirculate air from inside the valve cover back into the intake to it can burn during compression. if you remove it and add a filter on the hole, basically your just letting it vent air (and pull air depending on what is needed) into the open air. good if your not getting enough air to your valves (or enough out), but in our case, not necessary. |

with a high powered motor usually the oil will start to leak or get into the filter...
andy at tma makes a better solution for this problem

depends on how high the oil fills into the valve cover and many other things, but i wouldn't doubt it could happen.

Well I'm using something different that he'll be sending me
