car feels sluggish

my 2006 v6 feels very sluggish around 1k-3k where no matter how hard i accelerate the car doesnt want to move but after 3k it will lurch forward and take off. I have no idea what it is...anyone have any tests or things i should look for?

it could be that thing is controled by the computer go to a ford dealer and tell em.

there has been some cases of the computer having errors making the car like wanting to run for himself (accelerating)

Nothing wrong with the car. Just the summer heat could be getting to it.
