Another fuel injector question..
So I decided to go with 42lb injectors..
...but now Im seeing that theres some injectors that are skinny looking and some that are kinda fat looking. Which ones would be the ones to buy for a V6 block? Fat ones.. ![]() Skinny ones... ![]() Thanks.

those blue ones are 39 pound injectors.
just wondering... why do you need 42's? I know your doing a 8.8 swap.. but engine wise why do you need them?>

Not in any rush, either. Its gonna take alot of research for get these stupid little odds and ends to come together. Like the stupid MAF cable problem Im having. Sucks to not even have anything bought yet, but youre already running into walls. haha. Its cool, more to learn in the process.
I mean, why else would I wanna do all this if I wont get any knowledge out of it either? Im only 20 years old.. Id rather learn and get alot of hands on while Im still little.

Its all up to you, really. I took some advice from everyone around on what I should do next, but everything came from my own tastes. Me? My dual exhaust was the first thing done, since adding things to the car was gonna force me to buy one anyway, so just why not get one bought and get it out of the way, ya know? So I went the cheap way around and looked for a cheap setup just to get it out of the way. Luckily, I bought an Hpipe and dual Flows off a buddy's 5.0 for like 75 bucks. Fabbed it on for like another 100 bucks and bingo. Deep tone like a mofo for under 200 bones.

if your buying the engine you dont need fuel injectors
i have blue 42lb injectors pencil style...mine dont need a harness and mine were $180 shipped to my house if your getting the 4.4L do not get any type of forced induction

1. Money isnt an issue, but thank you for the concern.
2. Now I have someone saying the skinny ones would work other than the fat ones. So what would be BEST, then, IF NEEDED to be purchased? 3. Remind me on how this was YOUR car I was working on, Chris. I mean just the other day you just tried to convince me on the other board that the engine I was buying didnt even exist. At least on a 3.8L foundation. Clearly, I handed that one back to you. I do what I wish. There is ALWAYS a way around things. Some people just choose not to look for that detour. I wont know what I can do and what can be done unless I dont listen to people like you and try everything that I wanna try.

ok buddy
go for it! 3.8 stroked to a 4.4 go boost like fuckin 17lbs of boost!!!! it'll totally handle it i've looked and tlked more into it then you i wont even tell you the warnings, but your right bro go with the fuckin 4.4L and throw nitrous or Forced induction on it let your pistons play head butt apparently you just saw the stroker kit and didnt look to much into it... you think a 4.4L could handle some turbo longer then a 4.2L or even longer then a stock engine 12psi vs 12 psi 3.8L brand new stock vs stroked 3.8L to a 4.4L brand new tell me which would last longer 3.8L has stock internals for the 4.4L forged internals tell me

AND BOTH type injectors will work! i never said one would and one wouldnt
i never mentioned anything about money....i simply stated how much i paid for my injectors...hell 42lb injectors run like $300 for 6 or more and with a n/a 4.4L you DO NOT need 42lbers unless your going FI you dont even need 39

Ok, whoa whoa whoa... Settle down there partner. Me going boost isnt even a for sure thing yet. As if youre the only person out there whos given me the same warning already?? Cmon.. be real and logic for a second..
Besides, running the block alone is enough for me. At least to prove what I wanted to prove to everyone in the home town area. If I can find a way to get more out of it, then hey, Im gonna do it. The engine wouldve been bought already and of course like a blind man I wouldve bought it straight up without looking into everything else around. If something I wanted to do cant be done, then hey, Ill admit defeat when the time is right. ...or I could continue my current course now and keep looking up on what it can do, what it CANT do, and what Im gonna have to buy extra in order for everything to work together properly. Me personally? Im not ashamed to take a year or two on buying something. Id rather research the ins and outs and be safe, than to run down the expressway like an idiot and the car explodes.

So you still havent told me which whould last?
the stock 3.8 vs 4.4L the 4.4L is nothing especially its a few hp more then a 4.2L with extremely thin walls that if you decide to boost later on.....would make the 4.4L wasteful which is why i thought the 4.4 wasnt possible, the 4.3L already uses pretty thin walls IMO. i couldnt imagine someone making a 4.4 re-think your future plans 4.4L mabye 10-20hp difference from 4.2L (dangerous to boost) or 4.2L with options WIDE open if you wana boost later on if you want to run n/a with about 280-300rwhp and full bolt on thats possible with the 4.2L at the right compression ratio which would have to be kinda high and not to good for boosting a lot of power. or if you wana boost a lot then get a lower compression ratio if you really want more power...trust me the 4.4L isnt really something the 4.2L or 4.3L cant give you without the trouble of walls about a hair big think, do you want to booost later? nitrous? n/a? when your getting an engine and if you know which you want already that'll really help with choosing a cam. also n/a....stage 3 heads are kind of pointless because stage 3 is really meant for FI

Chris.
your a smart guy, i'm sure you know a lot about cars. but people are going to do what they are going to do. forcing someone into saying "Oh i'm sorry, your right chris." isn't going to solve a damn thing, nor is going to make you feel better. let him do what he wants to do and if it blows up on him you can dance on his car's grave. deal?
