engine cleaning.. and other things

my engine bay is completely covered in dirt.. i want to get it back shining like new.. i have heard to just get engine degreaser and spray the engine down with it then wash it off with a water hose... would that be the best way? i will also be ordering a UDP e piece set w/ belt from vmptuning later today.. and some new coils and livewires when i get paid again.. what is the easiest way to install the UDP set? i also have no clue about installing the coils and shit either... gotta love ex-body men huh? lol

If you like wasting money go ahead,

To clean it go to a car wash, degrease it and spray it down. :: repeat until a new shine ::

Because its a proven waste of money -

Ask cricket to show you a(an) dyno of his car before and after he added the car. the "sotp" dyno is mostly a mind thing unless you do some really big mod -

No one said they gave you gains its a truer spark a colder spark and a resistance to spark fade. Thats the gains you get its not all about hp i wish you would go around telling every one everything is a waste of cash if it don't give you 100hp and a nos sticker for god sakes. if they were such a waste of money then how come the big boys are running them mr professional? The coil and wires will give you a bit of a crisper throttle and a truer spark there for fuel will be burn more efficiently and if you had an issue with unspent hydrocarbons before then you WILL notice a power difference because you will be burning all of the fuel in the cylinder now and more efficiently. and you cant say you dont gain a truer spark either less resistance = more current flow dude so i dont know where u get off saying u dont get shit from them. then you have a performance coil like accels for example that has 10-15% higher volts going to the plug then then oem. more current = better chance of a arch happening. and after all the plugs need to arch to spark.

P.S. A performance ignition system allows you to open up the spark-plug gap. This demands more voltage to jump the gap, but it usually creates a bit more complete combustion at low engine speeds.

and 3.8 bro if your going to wash under your good use a regular hose and degreaser and cover your coil and alternator with tinfoil otherwise if you get water then them they will internally arch and u will have to wait for them to dry or your car will run like a bad of shit my buddies 95 explorer used to do this every time we washed the engine till he got smart one day and tried the tinfoil trick. and dont use a pressure washer with my experience it has forced water into areas where the sun dont shine on your car and it makes it a lil uncomfortable just like you would be I washed my dads tempo back in the day at skool with a pressure washer and washed the engine too and ruined the TR sensor on the tranny that way. just trying to save yah some pain in the ass and money.
