Engine Churp... any ideas?There is a churping noise coming from my engine. Im thinking its probably a belt but what do you guys think? I have noticed it in the last month it used to be only when the engine was cold but now it does it more frequently. Its not a really loud churp but if you turn off the radio and listen close you can hear it and also when im driving you can hear it. Any ideas? im not under warranty anymore and i dont want to pay out the ass for someone to look at it if its something stupid like the fan belt which is what im thinking. Any help is appreciated. Its an 04 3.9L Thanks, -Tyler

another way is to look at ur mileage... look at it if its like flashes or the ligth intesity changes ur alt is bad... accelerate ur car get it idle and so on to see any changes in the ligth of the mileage (forgot the name of the mileage thingy)

i experienced it but could also be belt tensioner, idler pulley or the belt its self.
