Possibly bad gas????

I just received a car from my dad which is a 98 mustang and drove it 1400 miles with no problems. Yesterday I filled up my tank and 2 miles later my car started bogging down and running choppy. It feels like something is holding the car back and not allowing it to accelerate like it should. The first thing my step dad asked me was "did you get gas today" and I told him yes I did. I put the gas in the car about 30 minutes after they filled up the tanks at the station and now things aren't right with my car. My step dad said it sounds like I got bad gas. I called the Ford dealership and they told me to try something called Heet and I did that today. It runs a little better but it is still doing the same thing. Can anyone out there give me any ideas on what might be happening with my car and how I can fix this problem. If it is bad gas, do I just run it through and get better gas next time or does it sound like something else? I also changed the fuel filter before I made my trip as well along with the air filter. Any information on what I should do would be appreciated.

Yes. It sounds like contaminated fuel. What is needed to fix it depends on how bad the contamination is. "heat" is an additive that gets water in the gas to mix with the fuel and be burned. If it didn't help it's probably not water. Sounds like the fuel filter is clogged. Drive it till the tank is near empty, replace the fuel filter, and refill with fresh gas. If the contamination is mild that should cure it. If you still have trouble run injector cleaner for one tank full and change the fuel filter again. Beyond that the injectors will need to be cleaned off the car and all the lines flushed out. In extreme cases the fuel tank may need to be removed and cleaned out. The gas station should have to pay damages, which may run to > $1K.

seafoam is used for carbon deposits and eliminates moisture in fuel and motor oil...

so i'm thinking it has to work...
