4.6l f150 engine/trans in 99 3.8 mustang

I can get a 4.6 dohc engine and trans from a 97 ford f150 for dirt cheap, and my question is, what will i need to make it fit into my mustang?

it would be geared to pull then.. you wouldnt have any trouble pulling a trailer.... but i wouldnt think it'd be to good for speed you dont see many stock f-150 ( besides the lightnings) on a drag strip

... yea the tranny would be geared weird... would have a ton of torque feeling about it

engine mounts, k member(might have to be custom fabbed a bit), you might wanna get the computer outta the truck, and then the rear end too... if thats possible

or just buy the truck from your buddy and put the mustang body on it...

that would take a while... see our old 3.8's aren't as fast as your 4.0 so we need to put more money into our car to run with 4.6's then you do...

you technically could beat a 96-98 4.6 GT where we would be able to read their bumper for a very long time... we being split ports... my single port wouldn't run with a civic... T_T

anyways it would take a bit of work and custom fabbing but its very possible... and for the first person that says its a waste of time and money... i bought a shotgun yesterday with my graduation money and am dieing to try it out... maybe your face can be my first target

4.6L triton is SOHC

And before you pay for that, + swap, +wiring, +tuning

You might as well buy a 4.3L stroker from SSM and have a bullit proof motor thats will last you for a while -
