that is a ping my friend you need to add more fuel or retard the timing and if that don't work your completely off a grade of fuel lower the fuel grade of tune or add octane booster. what type of tuner are you? SCT or Sniper? try retarding the timing 2* and see if the ping goes away. if it does your advanced to much or you don't have the correct fuel or you need to add fuel in that rpm range.

im using 87 octane tune with 89 octance gas...
before my xcal2 was all wierd i used 93octance i believe and after a while the pinging went away...

and yes it is annoying.
today im gonna try filling up 89octane with a little bit of octane booster see what happens then head to the track friday to get some times for everyone on here and my garage

where you buy your gas severely impacts the quality of it and the true octane rating guys go to shell or esso for the best fuel. if that fails your tunes need to be re done they are not right timing or fuel has to be off if its pinging with the correct octane for the tune your running.

Im ping free BTW guys running 91 octane +3* timing on full rpm range with a fuel enrichment of .2 in the low range rpm, normal +/-.0 on the mid range and leaned out .2 in the high range and its running great. Im in the need of a wide band O2 and AFR monitor to fine tune it.

ok, pinging is bad... dont let your car just "do it"....

thats how you cause damage to the internals of your motor, hence why you don't over boost without extra fuel.............

chris i expected more from you.....

spark advance
i thought it was for something else...
i should have tried that today

i didnt go to the track but i finally got one of my tunes to work

from 2000-4000rpms im gonna try raising the spark since thats when i get my rattling

WOT air/fuel did nothing to the rattling and at times i think it got worse

Check your wiper washer fluid container. I had bad rattle it was the container, I'll explain. The container is held to the inner fender on the drivers side there is a weak point and the metal cracks. It was driving me nuts I fixed it and the car rides like a rock now.
