windstar intake swap

Ok I bought a windstar intake off of a 96 windstar. I want to keep my egr. So what all parts do I need to get off the windstar engine. Any write ups would be great thanks.

I already told you how lol. You need the low profile EGR piece off of the 96-98 windstar van, then you will have to cut the egr tube and either shorten or lengthen it ( idr which ) then connect it with a piece of heater hose.

I believe you can use either the windstar or the GT tb.

Went and picked up the intake gaskets...

Vatozone.
Upper to lower 12.99 (make sure you get a 99-04 mustang)
windstar to tb 3.99 (make sure you get 96-98 windstar)

do they have the same throttle linkage? I know the linkage changed from a ball and socket type linkage in 99-00 to some different type of linkage in 01-04.

From when I did mine I contacted steven about wanting the gt tb on my 00. He said the gt tb is only compatible with 01-04 and mine would only work with the modified stock tb.

So this question goes to anyone who did the windstar and kept EGR... Looking at these diagrams I so skillfully made..

It looks like one the original intake there are 5 places where vacuum hoses connect, however, the windstar only has 4 inlets.. can someone clarify if my diagrams are correct and if so, where does B connect?

You have to make it IIRC. By drilling a hole, putting a metal bit in and then epoxying it in place. Dont know the specifics about how to go about doing it though

I'm working on this myself... however, I'm not really understanding how, since the windstar throttle pulls away from the intake instead of towards...

In the meantime, two questions

1. TB gasket... was it part number 60913, because that's what Autozone gave me but it looks like paper and too small..

2. Is this worth it? or garbage? 94-04 Mustang 3.8 V6 Air Intake Filter MAF Adapter MAS | eBay

Maybe this'll help. 99BlueV6 sent this to me when I was asking about the windstar.

i use bridge port mill, then upper needs to be drilled / taped for vac line, see picture 1 and 2.
I fill in the o-ring groove to eliminate vac leaks as (codeman red silicone) described, now use stock gasket. then drill and epoxy lower for iac vac line. see 3 and 4

after painting it ready for install with your IAC bracket, coil bracket and extended TB from VAP
