HP Gain?

This is speaking in general terms but, if I were to go from stock everything to modded I was just curious what I could expect as far as HP gain. This would include a 65mm throttle body, mass air kit, and true duals with an H-pipe. Also, will I get much more aggressive sound or will it still sound like it's stock? Only reason I ask is because I want to know if it's worth spending the money. If there isn't a significant difference, I'd much rather spend the money on a nice set of rims and tires.

I wouldnt expect a lot of horsepower outta just that, throttle body is pointless without a port and polish. i have true duals and h-pipe with the super 44 flowmasters. and yes you will definitely notice a sound difference. but yeh you wont get to much horsepower with those mods.

ive heard that once you get true duals your exhaust gets louder once you get a cai im not really thinking the throttle body will help you much unless you get you intake i believe port n polished ive had it explained to me before that without doing that it would be like having something O going into something o so theres only so much air that you can fit into o so it wouldnt be much gain
umm thats all i can think of to write sry for all the mumbling hope it made sense if not then there will be someone here shortly that will
also not sure on the hp either still got a stock 6er myself

well im not the one to answer about the hp gains, although on the exhaust you will get a slightly different tone but nothing too aggressive, as it is a v6.

if you wanna see some rather noticable gains go with underdrive pulleys and a tuner either the xcal2, livewire or sniper. but its like tsp said the throttle body is completely pointless unless you get your intake ported and polished.

I think you mean Ported and polised to match. You can get your intake ported and polished, but it does not good unless you get yuor TB ported and polised to match the intake. And as far as your mods go, your not going to see shit for a difference.

Maybe 10 hp BHP. The only thing that is really doingf anything for you is the duals. and yes, if you get true duals, you will notice a much better sound. Though at some RPM's it is going to sound like a fart can muffler unless you get a nice (modest sized) cam to go with it. The best bang for your buck would be...

Gears
Tlok
Tuner (XCal 2 or Livewire)
Exhaust
Ported to match TB and Intake
Cai (one if your getting the intake done. Otherwise the CAI is just going to be there for looks)
UD Pulleys (these dont add horsepower, but free up hp that the engine is currently robbing)

That should do ya good for now

about tuners... sniper is better u make ur own tunes... and SCT lately is making crappy tunes that make ur car knock some ppl here r having knocking or w.e... my friend is also having knockin and he just haves exhaust done.. so thats y i dont like SCT

simple mods I suggest..

4.10s gears with t-lok (at same time u dont want to pay x-tra cash 4 labor)

T.B and get a p.n.p to match it... i'l say get a 75mm (LET IT BREATH)

and since u will be getting more air in do exhaust to let more air out..

my exhaust of choice true duals with long tube headers and flow 44s or 40s

Sniper or SCT.. u can make ur owns tunes with sniper and its easy to use also sniper its developing some cool software www.snipertuning.com and u can use the tuner in multiple cars at same time (sniper works on ford dodge etc.. look at their site)

SCT is also good but the disvantage is that u have to wait for tunes and the tuner only works for 1 car

more complicated ones...

buy a stroker kit and make ur motor a 4.2 or 4.3 u will have btw 240-280 depending on configuration and what u do to the motor (that h.p is stroker only and varies on cam size)

cams.. many sizes to choose from depending if u want forced induction, nitrous or n/a but with a cam u will se great difference in sound and it will give u btw 20-30+ h.p they r like 850$

F/I and nos..

for these u will need forge internals... our car internals r good up till 4 even 8 but i wouldnt recomend getting to 8psi on stock internals still u can do it tho..

turbo and s/c prices r almost the same difference r a few bucks..

turbo i like andy systems at www.tmaturbo.com

supercharger vortech... put in a intercooler and u will own the procharger..

nitrous.. 100 shot... or w.e u want

i can continue listing... but i'm a lil tired to continue

SCT is not putting crappy tunes into the handhelds. lol. That knocking that happens, is when people run them on race tunes or performance tunes and dont put high octane fuel in their tank. Its not because of the tune. And this kid is not going to be getting Nitrous, or a stroker kit or a s/c. This is his first mustang and he is prolly on 16 or so. O, and SCT doesnt work for just 1 car. All you have to do it send it back to SCT and have them re-set it (or go to an authorized SCT tuner or reseller and have them do it). 75MM throttle body is EXTREME overkill. He def. does not need that. 56MM AT THE MOST. Bigger is not always better. I remember seeing this guy on here before that said he was getting a f1 supercharger put on his car. Its overkill. he is going to be dissapointed when its done. With a 75, he is just going to bog out in like every gear. He engine doesnt have the power to cope with all that air coming in. Even with a stroked 3.8, it is overkill.
