my car will not drive

So when I get on it the car runs like a champ...at least up to 80 mph, then the car shifts to third and the rpms stay at 3500 and it stays at 80 mph with verry little acceleration...any ideas as to what could be wrong

if you floor it does the rpm gain but the speed does not? is it revving up with out putting the power to the tranny or is it just sluggish like its a fuel issue?

Your car is prissy. Thats the problem. It's saying "If you don't stop speeding I may throw a rod at you. Now do you want that?"

Replace your fuel filter like said above, seafoaming, and an oil change prob wouldn't hurt either. Also try some fuel injector cleaner. See if that clears it all up.

I had this problem once. Ya, it was a badger. Stuck right in the throttle body. Be carefull and use gloves when removing. That will clear it up.
