99-04; pcv oil contamination fix concept

If have a 99-up model with overly effective PCV system that contaminates the intake manifolds and impairs performance? If you intend to leave the PCV system intact, here’s a potential quick fix that you may try. Remove the PCV valve cover. Enlarge the drain back hole in the baffle. Stuff the baffle with coarse stainless steel wool but don’t pack it too tightly. The steel wool should help by “straining” the oil from the air flow.
Has anyone heard of this before? I would still preffer the catch can/oil separator method but hadn't heard of this one before.

I would prefer a catch can container or a filtered vent straight off the valve covers. http://www.vmptuning.com/cart/produc...&cat=50&page=1

that caption came from supersix, but an interesting concept as long as you could prevent the stainless steel wool from leaving the valve cover baffle. i don't really like the breather method because as soon as you turn on your hvac all crankcase fumes are vented into the cabin.
