are Pulleys safe?

I looked around for this already but couldn't find the answer...
Is it safe to put some UD pulleys on a car with 150 000 miles on it? I don't wanna break anything.
I'm pretty sure my engine actually only has half the mileage on it that the actual car does, unless the chick that sold it to me lied. I just wanna be safe though and pretend that it actually does have 150 000 on the engine. apparently the stock motor was defective and it blew up or something.

also, same question for gears...as long as I replace all the bearings and shit, it'll be good, right?

there was a brand out there that you should stay away from... forget the name but they use a shitty aluminum alloy that warps from the engine heat.

It actually helps your accessory life to use underdrive, because it decreases the RPMs that the accessory pulleys experience.

Anywho, because of the lower RPMs, you'll need to compensate with the alternator to achieve good output. The easiest way is to get a smaller pulley for the alternator when you get the underdrive. That will increase the alternator RPM. And/or get a 130A alternator, it depends how much you pull on the system (stereo? amps? subs? electric fan?)

well I am getting a sound system in there but nothing very big, I have a 180 watt deck and i'm putting in a sub with a 100 watt amp soon so I'm pretty sure just an alternator pulley would be fine, right?
