31 Spline Axles???
I bought a 8.8 rear axle thinking that it would beef up my rear end a little more..well come to the fact..the 2003's 8.8 are the exact same(pretty much) as the 7.5. There is no difference in the "beefiness" or whatever??? I'm thinking about upgrading to 31 spline to make sure nothing will happen. In the future i plan on putting a 4.2 twin turbo in though. I'm wondering if it is worth it. I can get the axle shafts for 267 and get the 31 spline T lok on ebay for 150...

the 8.8 is better then the 7.5. Take the main ring gear and look that the difference in thickness.

yeah but it has the same axle shafts...there both 28 spline which kinda pisses me off...but wahtever i cant do a whole lot about it....i know the ring gear is different..butshit

if you get 31 spline you'llneed a different t-lok
31spline is much stronger. moser axles are much stronger. you'll be good into the low 10s high 9s with those if you get 31 spline axles and a 31spline t-lok you'll be set for a long time...get a trutrac and you dont gotta worry about shit on your v6 unless you plan on hitting low 9s or launching off the line with a huge shot of nitrous and slicks

yeah...i have the two links up there....one is for the moser axles off of americanmuscle.com and the tlok is from ebay....thats all i need right?

i saw one on american muscle for almost 400 dollars....if thats waht its gion to cost for me to upgrade jus the tlok im gion to say screw it because i odnt ahve taht much right now...id do it later...

yeah i have no idea what it is...my uncle talked about a spool or something in his chevelle...we started talking bout what im doin and all that..and he said something along them lines..then he told me ot weld the axle shafts together..or weld something together..shit idk?? i just know thats not the best way to go at it...thats by far the worst way...
