its better to get the cam after u stop modding for an easy reason.. there are to many cams out there.. ones for f/i other for simple bolt-ons etc.. its better to get em when u know what u want

you can get a cam...but when you get nitrous or forced inducing it would be a good idea to get a special grind cam for your application...but they dont have cams for just bolt ons....but they do have special grind cams for forced induction and nitrous.....and when you get a new cam you have to make sure it is compatible with your manifolds...because you dont want your cam to be good between idle to 5500 rpm and your manifolds between 500 to 5000 rpm

So if the machine shops are going to charge over 700, wouldnt it be a good idea to buy the stage 3 heads for $750?

I don't claim to be an expert on this, but if you are going to stage 3 heads and adding nitrous (N2O) you may have to strengthen the bottom end with forged parts.

I would check with a place like Super six..

I believe they say it is OK to port out the heads for extra flow, add a new cam etc. as long as the engine is normally aspirated, but if you add a turbocharger, nitrous etc. the stock rods and pistons may not be able to take it.

They sell power packs which have the modified heads and cam and say that is an OK mod with stock bottom end parts.
