Sniper tuner and speed limiter help


Okey so i got a sniper tuner, and everything seemed to work fine, the shifts are very fast, it fixed my spedometer from the gearing, but it wont raise the speed limiter. Ive tried reflashing it multiple times with the speed limiter set at 120, 130, 140, and unlimited, yet everytime it still shuts down at 117 (4,500) rpms. What is wrong? Also could anyone give my some tips on creating a better tune? Also i feel that my car has very little power from a dead stop, and ive narrowed it down to the problem must be backpressure. I have longtube headers, a high flow catted h pipe, and mac mufflers, all in 2.5" piping. So is there anyway i could add backpressure without replacing my exhaust?

Contact Chris at sniper tuning you have to have a custom template done like i did. ford switched the rev and speed limiters location in the pcm one a hand full of cars for an unknown reason. please tell me the full name of your pcm file it may even be the same as mine.

Thanks for the help, i sent them an email. As for tuning did you change any of the afr or anything on the last page of options?

do not touch the Air fuel. i will be getting Snipers wide band package shortly and i will be making and testing and will advise from there but so far i am running 91 octane with advanced timing if +2 degrees for all 3 rpm ranges and +1 degree globally. do not touch the fuel though. if your running 87 do +1 for all 3 ranges and +1 globally.

I thought sniper was simple...shouldn't something like a govenor come right off

Okey, im running 91 octance and did the settings you reccomened, let me know what you change on the afr when your get the wideband package

Dont forget guys I am a dealer so anybody having an issue like this can also email me their stock PCM file and I can make the changes as well , I dont care if they didnt buy the kit from me I am a dealer and I am willing to help anybody with the software regardless if they are my customer or not ....so he can send the file to me and I can make the changes as well , my email is dirtydirtyracing@yahoo.com , I check my emails on weekends as well so you guys feel free to email me anytime .....

ive now seen some of the sniper software

i must admit im pretty damm impressed
if it wasnt cause VMP used SCT i'd highly consider a swap from xcal2 to sniper
