Driveshaft
Ive been getting a "clunk" going into reverse for some time now. I finally took it to a tranny place (Bill Lee's in Palmetto, cool dude has a bunch of dragsters and race cars)for an estimate.
The took the driveshaft off and checked the U-Joints. The joints looked OK but one of the end was "sliding" around the pin. Kind of hard to explain. Theres like a metal piece between the ujoint and the backend that "swivels". I guess this is where the problem might be. They are to replace it Wednesday. $70 for the ujoint and swivel thing and $130 for like a half hour in labor. Any of you ever have this problem??? |

Ok, dude save yourself some money. Get a 15 MM wrench and the shim and do it yourself. Its very easy to do. It will take you like 30 mins.

yea..
plus you'd have to be like purposely rushing to do it in 30min jacking the car up, getting the tools out assuming everything goes perfect, but the new joint in. tighten everything up. put the jacks down and away and tools away. of course without being careless
