CAI intake tube
Will the CAI intake tube from a GT fit on a V6? Thanks for the help!

No, the GT has a V-8, and they route the Air Intake in a different form. I'm sure something could be done to 'adapt' it to fit, but then you also need to remember that the V-8's will have a larger diameter throttle body than the V-6, so that will have to be adjusted as well..
It would be easiest to just get a CAI for a V-6 |

The routeing is similiar, but one has longer tubes I'm sure, tb is different sizes like mentioned, one has a higher intake manifold I'm pretty sure, the GT tube is almost directly over the intake manifold. There are quite a few differences. If you want a steel one...just get a cheap ebay one.

Thanks guys. Now lets see, if I want a steel one just 'buy a cheap one off ebay". It's not so much I want a steel one, I want a good one. I refuse to buy anything cheap for my Stang. Next was "don't get a FIPK". Why? Is it just because they are a pain to install? I've heard they work better. "Is that me in my avatar?" It ain't my brother!
So, how about removing the silencer and replacing the filter with a K&N? Yes? Thanks everyone! |

Nothing wrong with buying a cheap cold air intake from eBay, they all work the same. except for the filter itself, so get a K&N filter, but the tubing itself isn't gonna matter.
unless it's a show car and you want something that says "K&N" on it...but otherwise, it's really not worth it. as for just replacing your stock filter with a K&N filter, that could help but a CAI would be better since the filter would in the fenderwell and you'd be drawing in colder air. |

its not ?? T_T sad
ebay ones are the same as the expensive ones they just have a different sticker on the side... here is what you can do... buy an ebay one... get a new filter from K&N that is the same size... and see if you can get a sticker with it... put that sticker on the CAI and say you paid $200 for it... yea xonemanzux -- aim drifterboyrx07 -- aim FIPK's are inside the engine bay and not the fender well and tend to let in some more heat... which defeats the purpose of a cold air intake the only reason i say get a k&n and take off the silencer is it will do about the exact same as a metal one... so.. why not and that way when you get a super charger or turbo... you wont have to worry about the $50 intake you bought a short year ago
