why in the world did he throw a 9inch rear in there...its only got 400rwhp...
8.8 with just 31spline moser axles will pull 9seconds

with 33spline theres no telling...either way his v6 didnt pull 9seconds
the 9in rear just lost him power
its takes more power to operate a 9 then a 8.8 not to mention weight

As I said earlier, he was talking about doing nitrous. So, my only guess would be that he was going to throw a good amount of nitrous into that car, and that was the purpose for the 9 inch. But, I don't know for 100% sure. That's the only thing that makes sense to me. And I know down well his car wasnt pulling 9 seconds lol. In fact, I never asked him what it ran. I'll have to give him a call and see about that.

No, not at all. That puts it right there around 390-400. Maybe if he got it custom tuned, then yea. But, not on the preloaded tunes that come with the SCT.
Lol, your telling me some IDIOT manages to buy a 9" rear end, but uses a pre loaded tune for a 15psi built 4.2L? Maybe I need to check but where exactly is the pre loaded SCT tuned for 15psi 4.2L.... that would almost always need to be dyno tuned even for normal drive-ability!

You get better quality & service = WRONG!!!!!!!

Better price = Correct!!!!

Better price also comes with a sacrifice of quality and service

The service with precision has always been 110% better than with SSMS. I tried to order from them (SSMS) 3 times and it was never good. Precision has always been so much better

Thats true. But, if you take the tuner to a SCT dealer, they will program it for you based on what you tell them. After that, its up to the owner to get it custom tuned.

Well,

Some how a built motor @ 15psi seems like it should be doing way more than 390hp... The inefficiency of procharger wins again lol.

I think SSM is capable of getting more HP out of a motor than precision, I've been their twice now and well v8s Ken seems to be the man to talk to, v6's on the other hand....

250-260rwhp 4.2L
15psi procharger would be making less then 10hp per psi...=/ horrible

a guy with a 3.8, BV heads, 214/214 cam, ported upper and lower intakes makes 440rwhp at just 12 psi

turbo ftw!
