Hey guys, Im new to the site and just got a '91 mustang 4cyl. Its my first car, as Im only fifteen. Its in need of some attention but Im pretty good with cars and my dad will help me if I need it so I'm not too worried but I do have a few questions.

Which year spoilers fit on the '91?
What are some fairly cheap modifcations that can be done to get little more power of it? Its pretty damn slow right now.
I'm thinking exhaust will be one... The exhaust on it right now is fairly new but just a stock replacement so I'm thinking an aftermarket one will help it breathe a little better and sound better.
Do any other interiors from newer years fit into the '91?

Hello and welcome! There are a great many things that can be done to the fox bodies to make them faster(even the four cylinders). You could always try and find an SVO motor(turbo 2.3) or maybe stick a 5.0 in it from another wrecked mustang. I would concentrate on the drivability issues(If any) you have first though. You can have 39876876839459837 Million horsepower but if you can't drive the car it does you NO GOOD. Good luck with your Mustang and once again welcome.

And as for driveability issues, it drives fine, it was actually my dads car until he got his jeep finished and now he doesnt need it so he gave it to me. All it needs is small things like tie-rod ends, a couple vaccum lines, and paint, nothing major.

Oh and I dont really want to change engines anytime soon, mainly cause of the gas prices here, and me being in school only with a part time job, the 5.0 would kill me with gas and 2.3 turbo is really hard to find here, so Im just going try to do the 4 banger up as much as possible.

Just look around the net there are many places that carry Performance parts for the 2.3L Here's one such site

Also keep in mind that the engine and drivetrain parts for the 2.3L Ranger should be interchangable with your Mustang.

take it from some one who has been through it just put you money in the bank and save it to buy a gt or convert the four banger do not put a dime into that little engin dont even do routine maintence on it save your money and drive the motor til it pukes then you will have a good reason for replacing the motor and the money put away to do it
