blackout grille

so originally i was going to get a billet grille and paint it black...but then i realized that i disliked the billet grilles on the stangs. so my friend has an 06 silver tacoma and he spray painted the whole grill flat black and it looks really tight. so instead i bought a can of rust oleum flat black, took off the grille and cleaned it in soapy water, and painted the whole thing flat black. it looks tight, but its not on yet. when i put it back on tomorrow ill take a picture and show you guys.

so for any of you interested in a change w/o a ricer grille...here you go

haha no i didnt use chicken wire. i dont remember what it was it was awhile ago when i got it. all i need to do is put the pony emblem on the grill and i can put it on the car. so what i told you is just what i saw when i put the emblem on the grill and set it on the table and looked at it and just saw the grill on the car.

ok here you go guys, i just finished up...

the grill itself

the process...

done!

if you have not taken your grill off, beware of the 4 bolts on the bottom of the grill that hold it to the bumper. it takes a lot of patience to get them off and back on. if you guys want to know anything else just pm me

i took them out cuz it gave me a lot more space to work with when i had to remove the four bolts on the bottom of the grill. i was able to get my arm back there easier. im going to get new headlights soon anyway...the correct ones. long story short...my 01 has 99-00 headlights. i cant wait till i get the stock smoked ones...it will bring out my grill nice
