THANX
MY HEAD GASKET HAD BLOWN AND LEAKIN COOLANT OUT THE PIPE. THIS ENGINE HAS BEEN REBUILD.

THE BLOCK HAS BEEN BORED
BIGGER PISTONS
EVERYTHING INTERNAL IS NEW (ROCKER ARMS, PUSH RODS, VALVES, CRANK, CAMSHAFT, TIMING CHAIN, CONN ROD EXT.)

I DID NOT WANT TO MODD IT WITH DIFFERENT HEADS OR CAMSHAFT OR FORGED INTERNALS SINCE IM NOT GOING TO S/C IT. I JUST FINISHED PUTTING EVERYTHING BACK TOGETHER AND RUNS REAL GOOD.

OH THE COLOR IS FORD RED

since it has been bored re honed and all that you need to start off slow once warmed up get it going up to high rpms then coast down and then bring it back up to high rpm's do this for a good 15-30 min drive this will allow the rings to set into the cyl

i was always told that with a new engine don't bring it up over 3.5 or 4K for the first 500 - 1000 miles, avoid highway driving as well as the prolonged periods at the same RPMs could actually do more harm than good.

some even swear by using a single weight conventional oil during this period (depends on your climate) and your taste.

after that period of time change your oil to what you would normally run and drive the car as your normally would.

ok I have not brought it more than 3.2K rpm and I have probably drove it for thirty miles.

I put regular 10W-30 oil for the first time. Wen I change my oil im thinking about putting royal purple with another heavy duty FRAM filter.

I remember that someone once had told me to break in the cam you need to keep it at 2k rpm for 8-10 min constant. I have not done it.
Is this true?

cams and heads can be done without a s/c or other forced induction. this was the time to go ahead and do those, but i guess its to late now

use lucas oil stabilzer in your next change. its a good buy for new engines

ive always been told to take it easy for a few hundred miles with the new engine
and after a few miles drive it up slowly into the higher rpms then drop it down slow as well
