I wish I didn't have to take my car to get the tool cause now I need to wait for the engine to cool down.

thanks to this post, I finally had the balls to give mine a try. You guys made it easy. Thanks for saving me the money!

I ran my car for like 5 minutes with that connection off. The car never stalled! I dont know why. so I went back to the fuel cutoff button and tapped it with a screwdriver and it tripped. 10 seconds later, the car stalled. Not much fuel came out when I disconnected it. I put the cap from the new one on the old one up there as quick as I could. Thats a good tip! I went ahead and dumped the fuel out of the filter and it was dark brown like syrup! Nasty.

The hardest part was getting the trunk back together right. That carpet crap sucks!

Car started right back up and it sounded great. It feels like I got some throttle response back biut it might just be my imagination.

$7 total cost. thanks...

Its NOT supposed to. Right now its in the down position. When the inertia system wants to stop the flow of fuel (like in an accident) it cuts off the fuel line. At that time, the botton pops UP.

I guess you can disconnect the quick connect and it will make it pop up... that will shut off the fuel so you can run the engine until it dies.

When I disconnected, it didnt pop up like it was supposed to. I tapped mine with a screwdriver to fool it into thinking it was in an accident. It worked because the button popped up and it cut the fuel off.
