fuel filter

Were is the damn thing? My car started stalling on my in drive and low gears... did it for a while then just stopped. Has been running fine for some reason. I figure I change the fuel filter to see if this problem maybe avoided again. So any help? I've never had to change it before.

it's under your car near your gas tank man.

your going to need a special tool to remove the clamps though

Ok its def located between the gas tank and the differential because I can see it. doesn't look easy to reach. Are u talking about the fuel pump shut off button? will that mess anything up, because the car runs fine now and I can't have that change.

no it wont mess nething up it will just kill the pump untill you reset the switch do it and u wont have a face full of gas. and also u need the special tool to remove the filter or u will ruin your fuel lines.

All right so the process goes as following...

Press the little red button in the trunk
Pull the fuel filter out
drain extra gas
put new one back in

and then press the button again?

I'm so excited... well so now I need to go purchase fuel filter tool? I suppose thats what I will ask for at autozone. Your scarring me with the thing about messing up the fuel lines. It looks like I just pop the clips off both sides and remove the fuel lines and let it rain then put the new one in place and put the lines back on then clips back on.

press the fuel pump shut off... then go start your car... when it dies from lack of fuel... you can go ahead and take the filter off
