Discussing how do you take off the side scoops in the V6 Mustangs Forum. yea im wanting to take them off to paint them but have no clue how ... how do you take off the side scoops
yea im wanting to take them off to paint them but have no clue how to take them off

painting them black or white for your car will look let me see....gay just a tip for free...theres some tabs u gota mess with...

haha thanks for the opinionm but yeah im painting them black along with my spoiler
theyre both faded since when i bought the car i guess the previous owner waxed them and didnt take the way off and now theyre completely faded so thats the best i can do for now |

u just need a screw driver and unlock some tabs.... i can even get it out using my hands.. tho try to not use force u may brake em

yeah i know i took off the plastic cover off and saw nothing but i dont want to take them off by force

i'm too lazy to remove my sidescoop and show u
 just get a flat screw drive and a paper or something so u dont scratch the paint.. then slowly star to pull the thing out.. look for the tabs so u can unhook it faster..

they are tabbed on.
just like half the car. 99% of the time they break when trying to take them off. if you are going to be painting them anyway I have a set of white v6 ones you can have for free minus shipping of course. and the tabs are in fact intact on them. |

dude, if you do that, post some pics. I want to see how it turns out. if your doing the whole thing in black, it might not be bad. Any other color might stick out too much.
