Cylinder heads removal help...

Okey, so as some of you may have read in my last thread, i am attempting to port and polish my upper and lower intakes, as well as my heads. What i am looking for is a step by step guide to removing the heads. I have guides for the intakes and everything else, but i need one for removing te heads, if anyone could help me out itd be greatly appreciated. Also i hear there is a special tool required to disconect the feul line. If anyone knows about this tool and where to get it, let me know.

The tool is for disconnecting the injector rail from the fuel line. It is similar to the one for the fuel filter but larger in diameter. You may not need it if you just set the fuel rail aside.

You still need to remove the exhaust manifolds, the alternator/PS bracket and the AC compressor. The AC compressor can be just set aside with the lines hooked up. Then remove the rocker arms and push rods, unbolt the heads and take them out. The head bolts are very tight and you will need a strong breaker bar and probably length of pipe to remove them.

You should get a manual for the details.

Be sure to notice how the head gaskets sit on the engine. The gasket blocks off some water passageways and you have to get it right or the engine will overheat.
