a grand for different head gasket and if you get pistons built to your liking installed then you can get almost any CR you want...

Yeah but new custom built pistons are like another 800$ pretty much ends up coming out like a SSM motor.

why would you need custom pistons?? im sure that the 3.8 is the only engine in the world with that size piston head... im pretty sure some one has to make it after market ya know... im sure that you can find a high performance forged piston built for a low compression ratio

Agreed, the 03 swap is badass, but I am in the middle of putting in a 2 valve in my fiancee's 1994 V6, and all the crap that had to bhanged out to put the Mod Motor in is insane!!! I have posted a thread- the link is below.

i know everyone here is pretty hardcore, but sorry, i'm going to be happy with about 250 - 300 rwhp......this 160ish is killin me...

sadly i know what that is going to entail with this car, i figure instead of going 4.2, just do a lightweight forged internals 4.0 (check Morana) for quicker rev's a lil lower compression. Top it off with single intercooled t3/4 turbo (best option) or hopefully if someone comes out with the kit by then bolt on the M112 (cheapest option) with the right tune, fuel system upgrades i'll be a happy camper.

nobody? what the fuck why not??

their are so many performance companies out their its sad to see that no one has picked up on the mustang internals

could you have them use some from like morana or ssms who happens to have forged pistons that will fit ... that might even be for a lower compression ratio
