Dual exhaust, cold air intake, underdrive pulleys, gears, t-lok, tuner...you got lots of options man.

Gears and t-lok is probably the best bang for your buck, but the install is pretty pricy. you're probably looking at 800 in all.
CAI and UD pulleys are pretty cheap but you won't notice a huge difference, dual exhaust would help the CAI too though. a tuner would improve everything together.

You don't NEED one, some of them, are getting away without a tune, but still some need one. It's a better investment to get the tuner first for just in case.

My friend has an 07 with the same mods as me, and pulls about a car, before that he had no tune and couldnt beat me. Also when he put the intake on without a tune he became slower than a 4 door GSR

oh, and to anser aztec's question, a tuner is like a little handheld electronic device that basically reprograms your car's computer to tell it to run a certain way, resulting in more power and bet gas mileage.

such as these

it allows you to adjust such things as shift points and...stuff...yeah I don't have one so I don't really know exactly, but it'll basically just make your car run more efficiently. also if you have other mods and you get a tune along with those, the tuner will make those mods work more efficiently as well, making them more worth your money.

you can also look for the Sniper, which some people really like a lot because it's unique in the way that you hook it up to your computer and build your own tunes to your own desires. I'm sure jugallo will see this and say "+1!" to it.
if you go for the Sniper, we moddenmustang members get a discount of (i think) 15%, thanks to jugallo (i think). I'll wait for him to see this to explain this further.

is his car manual or auto? im curious i have next to no mods on my sixer and probably will only do cosmetic changes to it such as the avic-d3 navi sys for my b-day

but if the car is manual this tuner thing cant reprogram when to shift...and is it complicated to use? (that last question is posed to anyone who uses this thing)

With some the Spanish Oak software doesn't mess with them, but others it does. Some guys get lucky with their cars, and others don't. Your buddy was one who didn't.

take it from me
i put cai...i was dissapointed
didnt feel a thing

exhaust nothing
ud pulleys BARELY

SCT...problems then BARELY BARELY anything at all...

if you gonna do bolt ons i say get like 2-3 at once. this way you can notice it a lil more..
personally i hated outcome of every mod i got...i was expecting something noticable...i got dissapointed

with my turbo kit...i know i wont be =D

either get a bunch of bolt ons together

or gear and t-lok
or get a power adder or nitrous.

i mean when i see threads where people get CAI or exhuast or a mod and get excited about it and say how they REALLY feel the difference dont see it...
i usually dont comment the threads cause i have nothign nice to say about it
