^ you know but you dont know ? so you dont know basically....and if you never dynoed you sure as hell dont know...200 at the crank yes you probably put 160-170rwhp...that turbonator is doing nothing except taking power...and that Jet chip is w/e....probably no better then having a potato chip....

Hopefully everyone will forgive my stupid questions, but here goes nothing... i have read this thread and several others around the net regarding "how much HP..."

my question is, how come No One has the Ford-advertised 190 HP that the ads and spec sites talk about? even after exhaust, pullies, chips/tuners, etc etc etc, everyone that asks that question is told they MIGHT be pushin 150-160 or around there... isn't this False Advertising or are there THAT many sites out there just misleading people? whats the catch/loophole ?

im at work or I would look up a bunch of them and give urls. i can do so when i get home if no one believes me that i have read it, lol...

I think it's because ford advertises HP at the crank. we're talking horsepower at the wheels, which is how much you're actually pushing.
it's not actually false advertising, more just like selective advertising. it's a real, fair measurement, but one that most people don't look at. they use it because most people immediately think of wheel hp, so people see "190 hp" and just assume that it's at the wheels. its not false, just misleading.

Yeah. Not to mention that the year of the car matters quite a bit. Somewhere between 95 and 99 the V6 jumped like forty horsepower, so that is where some of the lower numbers come from also.

they changed the intake between 98 and 99 as well as the valves and springs... thats why your engine is capable of revving higher then mine with out problems ...

also the main reason that the horse power drops so much between engine and wheels is the power loss due to the transmission... give me a list of your mods ... percisely and i can give you a rough estimate of wheel horse power... as long as your tires aren't bigger or smaller then the stock size... ... the weight from bigger or smaller makes numbers vary a bit

just so you know tough guy a stock 190-193 hp 99-04 V6 will only dyno about 153-155rwhp on a MD....thats your 30+ right there...as for bolt ons i already posted long long ago...as for videos of my car even on the dyno have already been posted before...and pics of my car have been up several times...not only does my car put down more to the wheels...it will be walking on your shit all day...and thats still not saying much about ur car or mine...a chip is not like a tuner...a tuner is a basic handheld tuner u can load and mess with yourself ...a chip is already preloaded and installed...unless you have different 1,2,3 settings like i have seen with diablo chips.....get your facts straight...because your getting owned as well...and im not an expert but i can speak from experience at least thanks
