Drip and hiss

Hey guys. Got a quick question about my car.

Lately when I turn off my car there is a drip and a hiss on the right side of my engine. Today I found a small black hole on the engine side of my dashboard that was leaking something onto my right exhaust pipe. It doesn't have any smell that I could tell, so I don't think its coolant.

I live in the Arizona desert and its usually really dry. Its been raining the last few weeks so the humidity is way up (for us anyway) so I was thinking that the drip might simply be condensation from the AC. I'm not sure though.

Anyone have any ideas?

Sounds like condensation to me bro. If it was coolant, you'd smell the sweetness. If it were oil or anything else, you'd be able to smell or see the color.

Im in 100% humidity Florida. When I pull in my garage it drips, cracks, hisses, farts and all kinds of shit. You're probably right, water hitting the hot pipes. Its normal in humid conditions. I understand its usually pretty dry where your at so you probably dont get this too much.

No worries if its water.

As far as your blck hole go's, I dont have any idea on that.

Thats what I'm hoping it is. It looked pretty dark coming out of the hole, but I figure that its been 6 years since the dashboard has been opened up. Probably pretty dirty in there. As for everything else, no smells, and my coolant and oil levels aren't dropping.

I bet you had your a/c on too, didnt you? Thats your a/c drip hose. It releases the condensation from your a/c system.. The dumbasses at ford designed it to drip on your passenger side manifold...thats where the hiss is coming from.

when your a/c was on there a lil hole near the passenger side where water comes out from condensation

when your car shuts off or enough is built up it'll drip on your cats, or headers or your exhauts which ever the hell it lands on

nothing to worry about

next time you run it for a while with the a.c on pop the hood and look down from above where all the a.c components are and youll be like ohh its just that water
