Mods:
- Like chris said, get a few solid mods then grab a tuner to tie it together.

Dyno:
- This is like the ghod of tunes, but you only really need one if your running some nice nitrous setup & a cammed built motor.

Tuners:
- I'll recommend sct, and im probably sure 65-80% of mustang owners will also agree.
truth spoken right there.
(insert talking bad about HMUSN's slow GT here, and then lets poke fun at SSS's body kit s'more)

I have a stock V6 4.0L Mustang. I am interested in whether or not if the same tuner that helps increase power (SCT/DiabloSport??) can also be used to tune my car to get better gas mileage.

Maybe I'm asking too much.. I already get between 25-28 town/highway mix and 30+ if it's all highway but I was just shooting for the stars I guess. Seeing how good of gas mileage it COULD get if driven properly.

Also if I buy an SCT/DiabloSport (Seem to be the most popular) tuner how easy will it be for me to download or RETRIEVE or create (??) a tune for each of these brands and install it to my car if I later change my stock exhaust (thinking Flowmaster) and add a cold air intake (thinking K&N). I read on some forums about others having trouble getting a tune for their Mustang from DiabloSport and was worried about this later.

Hey Guys, I've asked this before and never gotten an answer. I figured this would be a good time to try again. I have a '95 V6 and I've looked and looked and I can't seem to find a tuner compatible with my car. Do any of you know of one, or am I SOL. BTW I was also wondering, if they don't make a tuner for my old ass (but still kick ass) car would I still be able to get it dyno tuned?

I've heard bad things about chips. But I think that was for newer stangs. Do they work the same as a tuner? And can you still get a Dyno tune for a '95. BTW thanks for answering my question. You have no idea how hard it has been to just get a single answer.

it takes so long bc there is only a few of us on this late..

chips u actually plug into ur ecu
tuner plugs into ur obd port and flashes the ecu

but they do the same thing for the most part since the chip carries the tune instead of the tuner giving the tune to the ecu
