Problem, maybe a tuner will fix?
Since I've gotten my exhaust put in.. "custom o/r H pipe with true-duals with flowmaster 40's" I've been having problems when i want to pass a car, and give it alittle gas, my rpms will jump to 5K... and it sounds very bad and I know it IS very bad for my car.
question is the only way I can fix this would be a tune? or could there be something else? My car is an auto, and its been changing gears at 3k when it was usually 2500 . any help or input is appreciated. |

Unless you have an exhaust leak (a.k.a horrible tick)
Its just the back pressure you lost from removing your cats, put them back on and your problem will be solved.

Ok well before I put on my exhaust I did have a click.. its still there and I hear it as I walk towards the front of my car.. but not that bad. I geuss the exhaust just drowns it out..
back pressure? I want to keep it catless if possible... |

well its gay because.. i feel like ive lost power than what I used to with my single exhaust..
I cant even pass people like I once could.. feels really sluggish and tired feeling. All my gear shifts are like in 3500 range and thats not right. Im burnin up gas because of it. Will a tune fix this? |

well sometimes u cant pass people because they pull the no flay by zone on your ass with a thing called power...remember your car has like 150rwhp

has nothing to do wiht my stock HP.. I passed people twice as fast when i didnt convert to true dual exhaust.
It feels sluggish like it doesnt want to accelerate, and when I push harder it starts to accel a bit but then it shoots to 5K rpm and sounds like my engine is grinding No they are not speeding up more.. they're stayin the same. I have problems passing a person doing the 55 speed limit.. should not be a problem in my car. |
