Make a 2000 V6 Mustang Fast

Hi, I don't know much about cars but I have an automatic 2000 mustang and could I make it very fast for under 10,000 dollars?
If I can what should I buy to fix it up?

And welcome to the forums.

Try using the search feature to do some research on your car. That way you can learn about what the basics are and go from there, and perhaps have a more informed question to ask. That's not a shot, it just means that coming in and and asking 'how can I make my car fast', is like asking someone to design your car for you. The possibilities are pretty vast. For 10k, you could build a stroked shortblock, set it up for a small turbo. What else do you want? Different cam setup? Cold air intake? Exhaust? Computer tune? Gears? Nitrous? Stroker? Suspension improvements to help the car launch? Better tires?

See what I mean. Go do some research first and figure out the basics of what you want to put on your car, and then there will be more viable questions you want to ask about specific things you want to do.

I owned a 1995 Bonneville before, that was my first car when I turned 16 now Im 17 and looking for something fast. Yeah thanks but the problem is I have no idea what these people are talking about.
Yeah I should have specified more.
I'm looking to customize it for under 10,000 and make it as fast as it can be. Again I looked through the forum but I dont understand what a "stroked shortblock, set it up for a small turbo" is so I was hoping someone could tell me what they would do and explain what it is.
In the end I would probably look through what everyone said and try to pick what features I wanted in a car.

Start off with the basics then. That's how you start getting to know your car. No point in jumping in to higher end stuff like a turbo if you know nothing about cars, unless you are going to pay someone to do it.

Start off with a nice cold air intake, a good tuner, a higher set of gears in the rear end, and a good true dual exhaust system. You can learn about which parts are the best here by just browsing through the forum like the rest of us have, and I'm sure the other V6 guys here will have more suggestions.

check the tech articles at the top of the forum, there's a bit in there that'll give you a good bit of info.

For one
you need to figure out how much money your willing to spend and you have to spend.

its wiser to save up then to keep buying parts over time.
that way you can buy all the parts youl want and make them work together as efficiently as possible

but like we said
what do you want out of it?

like what unzippie said earlier.

do research first
learn the engine and your car.

heck maybe youll be happy with it as it is and go the visual route like some of us go.

with 10k you can build a bad ass ride! you can go to supersixmotorsports.com and get one of those power packs and add up to 85hp for less than 3k then spend the rest on a turbo kit!

if you want your car to be fast i would sell your car and get a gt. but if you want to stick with your car then i would get forged pistons and rods, then get a procharger.
