engine problem


car is puttering like its idleing very ruff but the rpm hand isnt moving also getting a slight whine noise when i accelerate one shop told me it was the 02 senors one guy and another told me the injectors needed cleaning not to mention that my ecu is not spitting out any codes when hooked up mechanic told me its like someone erased all the codes at a loss need it fixed asap will be leaving back to school in about a week and the car rides like shit.

Always check the basics first. Start with spark. Are all cylinders getting spark? You can buy a spark tester at most parts stores.

Agreed maybe stick some seafoam in your tank and fill your tank with gas that will help clean out your fuel injectors.

do a tune up and seafoam ur ride. plugs, air filter fuel filter maybe wires and an oil change.

had the wires checked yesterday and sensors added some injector cleaner concentrated. i guess i just have to let the gas all run out should i notice the difference in a few days or just by the end of my tank of gas.

fixed problem, spark plug wire was resting on top of the header fried through made cycl. #3 misfire causing putting and strain on motor plus obvious loss of power wen needed. not going back to the other shop anymore injectors are fine guy probably didnt even check engine.

the mechanic u took it to must be a real jackass a plug wire like that must have been arching like a whore how could u miss it.
