Bass in a Mustang

Has anyone installed a bass in the trunk of their stang? If so what sizes fit best and what negative effects do they have specifically on the Mustang. Rattling, etc.

A bass?
Are we talking about a bass (fish) or a bass (guitar?)

Are do you mean has anyone installed a SUBWOOFER ?

I have a single 10" with just a 100 watt amp and that's good for me. not incredibly loud but enough to just give everything a little more balls and substance...in some cases, a LOT of balls and substance, even small systems can get pretty loud without sounding bad.
of course, the louder you go, the more prone you will be to rattling, but that goes with any car. my license plate rattles pretty bad when i turn it up.

but that's what Dynamat's for

ahahahahaha oh man....sides ....hurty....

Yes, stangstillshines, I have two bass in my trunk, two 10 inch dual voice coil Alpine Type X's powered by over 2000 watts. So it can be done.

Back of mine:

Unless you really want fish in your trunk, in which case, just go to the market

I have a simple ported box with two 12 in jbl subs powered by a 1000 watt alpine amp. Does the job not show winning but makes the music sound good.

def not show winning but im sure it sounds good. you need to spend some money and make it look like zips and SSS and lose those neons or put them in the box so you can see through the window

yeah those neon have since then gone into the box and hide. You can see the green out the window though. I would love to sit it flush but jus dont have the money. I got the sub and amp for a steal. I got it off a dumb baseball player at my school told him the subs were worth 40 bucks and amp 60 bucks. He bought my estimate and i paid him

Indeed. I contemplated that seriously before putting the system in, but I have too long of a commute to go without my tunes. I'll just have to add that much more power when I throw my turbo on, as soon as I...uhm, rob a bank?
